Bio

My family has served since the Revolutionary War, and I am part of the legacy. My Air Force dad met my Japanese mom in Japan, where I was born. I was raised in Hawai'i with my sister and 2 brothers. My older 1/2 siblings (brother deceased) are in NC and we are all very close. I am a devout Irish Catholic, Professed Secular Franciscan, and involved in all things faith. I am a retired Army Psych RN.

Military Experiences

Apr 1999 - Jul 2005
CPT- S1 Section Officer
I was in charge of the S1 Personnel Section, as well as the Weight Control Officer for this Combat Stress Control Company. I retired from service with this unit after 23 years total and was promoted to MAJ before I retired in 2005.
Aug 1999 - Feb 2000
CPT-Medical Officer
I was TDY to Micronesia to the island of Kosrae as the medical officer for an engineer unit from Alaska as part of the Civic Action Team Compact helping rebuild the infrastructure of the island. I ran the clinic for the team, as well as going out to the villages on the island to treat medical needs of the locals. I also treated animals on occasion.
Apr 1998 - Apr 1999
Evans MEDDAC
CPT Head Nurse
I was the Head Nurse for the 12-bed Acute Inpatient Psych Unit. I was also tasked with being the psychiatric nursing Product Line Supervisor since I was the only Active Duty Psych RN in the area. Due to health decline which would not allow me to deploy with my CSH attachment, I made the decision to leave AD and finish my career in the USAR.
Jan 1995 - Apr 1998
Tripler AMC (TAMC)
CPT- Staff RN & Assistant Head Nurse
This was my first duty station as a Psych RN. I began as a Staff RN on unit 3B2- Acute Inpatient Psychiatry.
