Military Experiences

Sep 1968 - Jan 1970
Hospital Corpsman (HM)
X-ray Tech. Shittiest duty in the worst place on earth: Norfolk. Dispensary run by a tyrant of an E9. Hated by everyone, untouchable, as he was a Jap held POW, with a screw lose. Would rather have been back in Nam. He convinced me I would never re-up, lest I run into another asshole like him. I loved the Navy, too bad. Spent every weekend OUT of Norfolk , in Maryland. Went thru there couple years ago. Still a crappy place, still Shit City. best seen in the rear view mirror. Joined the Navy because I wanted sea duty., submarines. They sent me to Nam instead. What a disappointment.
1968 - Jan 1970

Did XRays on active duty and dependents. Trained XRay strikers under HMC Swann, a good man.
