I enlisted in the Army on 22 April, 1982, and rertired 01 December, 2004. I held all positions from rifleman to Platoon Sergeant. I served two tours in Germany, two tours in the 101st, four years as a recruiter in Fargo, ND, and a tour of duty in Hawaii with the 25th ID. I served at every level from fire team to G-3 Training in 1st AD. Currently, I serve as a DA Civilian at Fort Jackson Range Operations as a Range technician/Inspector.
I was born into a Navy family, the son of an HTC Diver 1st Class, in Agana Guam. I moved as my father was assigned to places like PSNS in Bremerton, WA, Newport RI, Key West FL, Groton CT, and finally Bangor Sub Base near Silverdale WA. After my father retired, we moved to White City, OR where I lived until I graduated at Eagle Point High School. Upon graduating, I enlisted in the Army as an 11B, Infantryman.
