Enlisted as RA in 1967. I started out as Infantry. Graduate of Tigerland. Later changed to intel, serving in CONUS and overseas. Received a direct commission to 2LT in '78. Retired as CPT in '87. Recalled to AD in 2005 with an intel unit in CONUS, then had two trips to Afg. with the 82d, 101st, & 10th Mtn Divisions. 10th Mtn asked for me for their next deployment. DA declined the request.
