Bio 

Navy brat. Joined the Navy to avoid the Army joining me (draft) and to get out of Minnesota and back into warmer climates. I filled out 24 years. Retired in Pensacola, widowed three years later. Finished my college via the gi bill. Worked at the Naval Aviation Museum. Lost another wife to cancer. Volunteer two days/wk at the museum in the aircraft maintenance department.

Aviation structural mechanic
Aircraft structural mechanic, flight deck troubleshooter, airframes supervisor, quality assurance rep., maintenance chief, Aircraft division chief, command career counselor, line chief, acting command master chief (6 months), LMET instructor and division LCPO. Worked on F-4, F-9, T-2, A-7, A-4, C-130 and P-3 aircraft. Flew on TFO’s for two years in TF-9J Cougars.

Too many to count. Westpac’s, Med cruises, 6 weeks to Roosevelt Roads , Fallon, Yuma, Adak, traveled for 3 1/2 years with the Blue Angels.
Served on the Franklin D Roosevelt ( so did Dad), Kennedy, Intrepid, Lexington, Oriskany, and Nimitz. Flew on and off every one at least once. Toured with Blue Angels did air shows in nearly every one of the lower 48, plus shows in England, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Iran. CAG 8 maintenance CPO for the corrosion det in Sigonella.
