Bio
I joined the Army by a Direct Commission while attending Oakland University's 2nd Degree BSN Program. Upon receipt of my RN license, I immediately attended BOLC at Ft Sam in July 2009. Then I was stationed at Ft Benning as a 66H, and then as a Critical Care Nurse 66S at Ft Bliss. Upon Completion of my tour of active duty service I have completed my MSN - Nurse Anesthesia from Oakland University.

Head Nurse on a 33 bed Adult Medical and Telemetry Unit over seeing roughly 25 officers (2LTs - CPTs), 20+ enlisted personnel, and 40+ GS civilians. I assure the units compliance with the standards for TJC, OSHA, ANA, and the Texas Board of Nursing; through the use of coaching, mentoring, and counseling.

I was the performance improvement nurse for the ICU while performing as a charge and staff nurse within the multi-service ICU. The multiple positions that I currently hold are Co-education coordinator for the ICU, Co-champion for Cardiothoracic Surgery, ICU representative for the Cardiac Arrest Review Committee.

Initially was a staff nurse for the Mother Baby Unit and was a Nursery Nurse during this time, then transferred to the Medical Surgical Unit (6AB) which I was a charge nurse and a staff nurse for the better part of 2.5 years with a short stint as a staff nurse in the PACU.

Was the assigned Nurse for the 36th ASMC, acted as the OIC for the vaccination clinic at East Liberty, assured proper medical training of the medics while in the deployed setting, assured medical practice was to Joint Commission standards and the facility maintained safe practices, acting Trauma Nurse.
