Mark has an engineering degree from ISU and a MBA from U of MN.

Colonel (Ret) Ellson’s key assignments in the Army and Army Reserve include Commander, 322nd Maintenance Company, Commander, 320th Ordnance Battalion Commander, Chief, Support Operations Officer, and Senior Joint Plans Officer. During his thirty nine years and ten months of service domestically and abroad; he has been assigned to the 3rd Infantry division, 103RD Corps Support Command, 3rd Corps Support Command, 88th Regional Readiness Command, 1st Corps Support Command, 4th Infantry Division, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA-E), and US Forces Japan
