M60A3 Tank Mechanic. When the unit drew down I was assigned to de-mil all tanks. Afterwards I was temporarily reactivated for 6 months to be the Motor Sergeant for the NCO Academy at Fort McCoy, WI.

Made E5 and E6. Ran the tank (hull & turret) mechanic squad. Was sent to Motor Sargeant school in Aberdeen, MD before PCS'ing back to Germany.

Worked on M60A2, M60A3. Five of the HHC tank mechanics, myself included, restored a M26 Chafee tank.
I also ran a XM816, 5 Ton wrecker, M578, and a M88 (gasser).

I was TDY with ENETT. We uptrained all incoming Armor units coming into the Theater. On Dec 24, 1990, I volunteered to stay in country to augment another team that was there to install 285 mine plows. We were pulled out of counrty by TACCOM when the ground war started the end if Feb 1991.
