Bio 

Born James Lee Mathews in Blythe California. Lived with my parents until age seventeen. Attend seven different schools between K and 9th grade because my father was a heavy duty diesel mechanic. I have visited every state in the US and many countries of the world in my travels. I am 5 ft. 11 1/2 in, tall and weigh about 276 lbs. I like both guns, and knives. I am a slow computer learner.

Torpedo Division Officer,-- Mk 14-5 Torpedos, Mk 37 Torpedos, Mk 45 toepoes, Mk 16 Torpedos., Nuclear Weapons Handling Officer, Duty Weapons Dept Officer, On-Board Small-Arms Firing Range Officer. Command Duty Officer -- Every fifth day I took command of the 550 foot ship and 1500 men when the Captain and the Executive Officer had left the ship, to the extent that, if ordered to do so in an emergency, I was responsible to get the get the ship underway and take it to a prescribed place by superior authorized orders. Make a full inspection of the ship daily, all decks, meet and deal with all visitors, emergencies or security violations, during my duty tour. Officer of the Deck (OOD) -- In command of the ship's operation underway, from the command bridge, when on duty.

Tugboat Commander (Temp.)
Took Command of a medium sized Navy Tugboat in order to pickup exercise torpedoes shot from submerged submarine off the coast of Spain. My command responsibilities were to take the tugboat out, contact the submarine, track torpedoes, retrieve them an return to the tender. The tugboat retrieved the two exercise torpedoes fired. One of the torpedoes had to be retrieved at gunpoint from a secret Russian trawler/ spy vessel.
