Entered service at 17. Basic at Ft. Polk. AIT at Ft.Ord. Airborne School at Ft. Benning. Assigned to 2nd 501st 101st Airborne at Ft. Cambell. Transferred to the 1st 501st which became the Charter Battalion 4th 503rd of the 173rd Airborne and deployed to Nam in '66. Assigned to Rep Det on return with the 82nd Airborne Ft. Bragg and redeployed to Nam with them in late '67 returned to Bragg early out
