I served from 1971-1975. My duty stations included Lackland AFB, for basic training and Security Police tech school (10/71-12/71), Minot AFB, North Dakota (01/72 - 10/73), Utapao, Thailand (10/73 - 10/74), and Rickenbacker AFB, Columbus, Ohio (11/74 -09/75). After leaving the military, I was hired as a Florida Highway Patrol state trooper,
where I completed a 25 year career, retiring at the rank of captain.

I was a part of the air base defense team; plus, I volunteered for helicopter patrols, flying in the Pedro air/sea rescue helicopters.While stationed in Thailand, I was promoted to the rank of sergeant (E-4).
