I am from Boones Creek, TN. When I was in high school I was in MCJROTC and became the rank of cadet Captain as my last rank. I entered the DEP with the Marines in 1997. I was in the Marines from that point until 2001. I entered the Army in April of 2007 and I am still serving. At this current time I am one of two mortar section leaders at my unit, O Trp 4/278th ACR located in Newport Tennessee.

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan
We went to Combat Outpost Zormat and I was there until December. My unit did full spectrum combat operations. When I returned in December after my leave I was selected for a PSD team for the BN CO and I was his gunner for the rest of that tour. I was assigned to 1st Cav at BAF at that time.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
We went to Camp Taji, Iraq and set up operations there. Our unit supported combat units assigned to Camp Taji and the Camp Taji footprint.
