I had some very good experiences in the Army coupled with some very bad units. I was asked by my career advisor to apply for an exemption to remain on active duty when I reached the 20 year point (Reserve officers had to leave active duty at 20 years). I told him that I had no desire to continue past that point. Allons.

Ran the S1 shop at the brigade level. We were mobilized for Desert Storm but never got past Fort Knox before Schwartzkoff had won the war.

TAC officer for the Reserve Component Warrant Officer Entry Course. Helped establish the course, develop classes and training aids, etc. Unit introduced me to just how political the USAR really is/was where it is who you know in lieu of what your capabilities and knowledge are that helps you get ahead.
