Joined Navy after High School graduation in August, '64. Boot Camp in San Diego, then AMS "A" School in Milligan, TN, then VA-172 in Cecil Field and U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt for Med Cruise, several short cruises around Cuba, then a WESPAC cruise from summer '66 to Spring '67. Discharged on August '70.
Joined Navy Reserve in July '85, transferred to MCB - Discharged in Jul '93

Public Affairs PO, Small Arms Instructor
PAO = write stories/photograph public service work done by Seabees for many local nonprofit groups - Forestry Service, Public Schools, Boy Scouts, County Airport, others. Provide news and photos to local papers for publication, that provide morale and 'advertising' for local recruiters. Also instrumental for moving a Seabee parade float to NRC Medford, OR where it has been used in many parades that draws many vets from all services.
