Aug 1973: BCT at Ft Knox Ky 1973-74: Ft Monmouth, NJ - AIT (32H2T) Member of the Honor Guard and Drill Team. 1976-77: Ft Gordon, GA - AIT (26V20) Served as Drill Master of the Signal School Drill Team. Participated in the 1976 REFORGER exercises while with the 101st Abn Div. Awarded MSM for service at Cp Darby, Italy. Awarded MSM, 1st OLC while at Ft Huachuca, AZ.

Microwave Systems Engineer

Assigned as an engineer, I designed, created, and approved the installation blueprints and wiring diagrams, published an Equipment Installation Procedure and the Bill of Materials for Procurement for 12 microwave systems in seven US Army communication sites in Korea. During the installation phase of the project I spent 45 days TDY with the teams on-site in Korea assisting and performing various tasks during the construction phase of the project. I was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal 1st Oak Leaf Cluster for this work

Microwave Systems Shift Supervisor

59th SIG CO, 509th SIG BN, 5th SIG Cmd | Camp Darby, Italy

Trained and mentored new personnel, documented procedures, scheduled and performed maintenance and repairs on 2 tropospheric scatter systems (EMT and ETA), a digital microwave system (DEBS) and a CRE radio system. Awarded a Meritorious Service Medal for instituting and documenting alternative radio alignment procedures to replace missing alignment and tuning equipment from the radio manufacturer.

Part of an 11-man team that maintained microwave radio systems and VHF (TRC-50) radio systems on Madison Radio Site near Suweon Korea. Designated the 1st Sig Bde Site Of The Year for 1977.
