23 May 1970I joined the active military on 3 June, 1956, when I enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. I served in that branch for 14 years. In early 1970, I applied for, and was accepted into the U. S. Army, as a Warrant Officer, with the rank of WO1. I was sworn in on 23 May 1970. My first assignment was the 138th Avn Co, Phu Bai, RVN. I retired 30 June 1976.
