USS Hector. Hit very high seas going into Yokosuka, Japan and did damage to the ship. After availability, limped to Subic and spent 2 weeks in dry dock. Ports included Hawaii, Japan, Philippines, Diego Garcia, Mombasa Kenya, Melbourne Australia, Tonga, Western Samoa.

Deployed on the USS Wichita during the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Spent 109 days at sea. Ports were Hawaii, Philippines, Singapore, Oman, Diego Garcia, Pattaya Beach Thailand. 30 day trip from Thailand to US on one screw.
