Boiler Technician
After basic in Great Lakes Illinois, Attended BT "A" School. Reported to the USS Detroit at Bath Iron Works ship yard in Maine. After completion of overhaul, completed a shakedown cruise in the North Atlantic and sailed to homeport in Norfolk VA. Sailed to Guantanamo bay for training in preparation of going overseas. Made a couple of Mediterranean Cruises and participated in support of exercises.
