Commanded this unit (appx 200 personnel at its height) before and during mobilization, conducted operations security, escort, prisoner of war, and customs operations in Southwest Asia during Operation Desert Storm and return to home station. The unit was awarded a Meritorious Unit Commendation for this period of wartime service. I still take pride in incurring no loss of life to my subordinates during this deployment while accomplishing all assigned taskings.
