Military Experiences

Jul 1990 - May 1992
63rd CHEM
Squad Leader
I was injured just prior to Desert Storm kicking off, I was in the hospital for 45 days and the 101st and my Unit where gone. Once I was released back to active duty, I was never able to join my Unit had a 1LT that could not go so he would not let me leave to join my Unit(yes I am bitter about that). I work with 101st DIV I keep track of all personnel that where on Emergency Leave from 101st Desert Storm, then on the return of the 101st I was tasked to received all personnel paperwork from the return flights before departure of the aircraft. Once my Unit returned I had my Squad of 8 people that were something else to work with, fun and funny all good hard workers for the most part.
Jun 1987 - Jul 1990
Nuclear Biological Chemical (NBC) NCO
NBC NCO of HHC for 3 years Reforger and ARTEPs in GDR was something else to live thru. I lost two friends while I was there, one had a heart attack on the PT run and one was diagnosed with cancer had 100% retirement and died 3 months later(motor Sgt). Went to East Germany before the wall came down in 1988(still, have the paperwork and some of the money) I also have a piece of the wall that a buddy picked for me when it came down. I will remember that time in my life till the end of my time.
Jan 1984 - May 1987
Squad Member
I was E-1/E-4 at this time here in APG. I held positions with the Road PLT and Physical Security PLT, I was also CQ for 4 months. I did find it funny when I worked with the Physical Security PLT I could not tell you what I did but I could tell you the name of it. "Army Pulse Radiation Facility" Hmmm wonder what they did there. Notable People, I worked with SGT Eikler, SSG Mosley, Lt Blackwell, and CO Cpt Major (her husband was Maj Major, too funny) We had a he Ski and She Ski and many more. miss them all.
