I have been working in the software development field from my time in the Marines, through college, and all throughout my professional career. I pride myself on developing systems and features that enable programs to assist end users in accurately and efficiently doing their job. I have been guiding and mentoring team members for many years as well, trying to help them to advance their skills.
In the Marines I got into Computer Programming and application design. I went to school to continue that focus and have been doing that job ever since. I build and design computer systems and have taken on project management, system architect, and team leadership responsibilities as well. I still ensure I keep myself in the nuts and bolts of the code and have purposely stayed away from taking on 100% management roles.

Unit Diary Clerk
Worked at the Recruit Administration Center as a Unit Diary Clerk officially. While there also solely designed and built some custom mainframe applications to assist the RAC in their specialized computing needs. From my time doing data entry as a Unit Diary Clerk I was able to identify many needs of MCRD staff that were different from typical unit needs and create tools to help us with some of the unique aspects of our job and free us up from dependency on external personnel for receiving various printouts or information.
