Bio
When I enlisted in the Army I was an 82C-Field Artillery Surveyor, I was reclassified into 75B and made my way to 75Z. My last duty station was with an EOD unit where I put in for the job & accepted but before I completed training I accepted a discharge for personal reasons. In 1985 I went into the Air Force Reserves and started with Ordnance and ended up with Security Police a short time later.
Military Experiences
Dec 1974 - Jun 1978
Field Artillery Surveyor
I started as a surveyor and at the time there was a shortage of this MOS so we were the only unit in Division Artillery so we were utilized for the other units, 1st Bn, 5th FA & 3rd Bn, 6th FA. Spent a lot of time in the field with all the units. I ended up being reclassified into Personnel at the BN level my last year there.
Deployments
(1 year, 1 month)Jun 1978 - Jun 1979
South Korea
I was at Camp Ames to start & was there PAC Supervisor. The 6th Ordnance Bn was being relocated to New York & 110th MP was being deactivated. Once all reassignments were completed I was reassigned to Kunsan AFB, 78th Ordnance Det. to oversee the ASA of munitions relocated onto the air base. The small detachment was activated there.
