in june 1963 joined USMC and was sent to Parris Island for training after that to lejuene and off to gitmo for 6 month then back to lejuene and off to Calif and deployment to Okinawa where I was sent to a cruise off of Vietnam for several month until we landed at red beach in Danang in March of 1965 until July when I was promoted to E4 and sent back to Lejuene when in Oct of 1965 was sent on a Med Cruise for 6 month returned to lejuene to be again sent back out after promotion to E5 for another med cruise until March of 1967 then discharge in June. countries I went to during my time in service Cuba,Okinawa,Philippines, Hong Cong China,Vietnam, Italy,France,Malta,Greece,Turkey,Spain,Sardinia, all in 4 years every time someone asked who would like to go I said I would .
