I joined in Mar. 67. VN 9th Inf. Div. 2/47th 10/67 to 10/68. 365 days in-country. Ft. Meade until out for college. Lived in Calif. 30 yrs. Moved 7 miles from Canada in Montana. Now living in the Southwestern US. I started writing after I retired the 2nd time. I find joy and satisfaction in writing. Amazon has some of my books. Enter my full name not the title. Joined 3/67. 11B and drove M-113 until 5/68 when I became a clerk in Bn Hq. (No walking thru the jungle on patrol as a clerk).

Vietnam War
Plenty of walking on narrow paths through dense jungles. Looking for the enemy, booby traps and danger. Hoping I'd make it through. Seeing others I knew when they didn't survive. Seeing Sydney, Australia on R & R in June 68. Watching the calendar when I had less than 30 days remaining. Feeling when the planes wheels lifted off the runway in Saigon.
