Born and raised in Minneapolis, Mn. BA from Univ. of Mn 1964 and commissioned via AFROTC. Active duty USAF 1964 to 84 with assignments in MA, Taiwan, Vietnam, MO, CA, AK and MI. Eleven years in SAC ICBM (Minuteman) operations and 9 years working in Public Affairs. Retired to Anchorage Ak and completed 13 years with State of Alaska followed by 15 years as a substitute teacher.

Advanced to Standardization Crew Commander, Wing Select Crew. Earned seven Highly Qualified evaluation ratings. Participated in follow on test launch of Minuteman ICBM at Vandenberg. Completed over 200 alert tours.
