I took Basic and Infantry training a Fort Ord, CA. I took Armor training at Fort Knox, KY. Assigned to 8th Infantry Division in Mannheim, Germany in S-2. At Fort Carson, CO in 2/22 Inf. as Company Clerk and M113 driver, then re-assigned to 4/70th Armor at Ft. Carson, CO (now 1/70th Armor) as tank driver. Deployed to NTC, CA with infantry NCO as tank commanders.
