Bio
Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army upon graduating from college in 1974. He underwent One Station Unit Training at Ft. Polk, LA for Basic and Advanced Training in the Infantry. In recognition of his being selected Outstanding Trainee of his Training Company during Basic he was promoted to Specialist(E-4)
From January 1975 to August 1978, he was assigned to HHC, 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry at Wilkins Barracks, Kornwestheim, FRG. He was initially assigned to be the Company Clerk, and then moved to S-1 as part of the Consolidated Personal Action Center initiative. Upon promotion to Sergeant, he asked to take over the HHC Training NCO position
