I was a military dependent. I volunteered to became a soldier in 1966. Started as a radar control operator and switched to MP's then became a Drill instructor. Finished my six years as a SSG. My father was deployed to Viet Nam twice, during which time they refused my application to volunteer. First Duty Station was Malibu Beach, Calif.(Nike Site), then Mons Belgium Headquarters for the Military Troops of Nato
