1964 to 1965 BLT 2/8 2nd Mar. Div. two Med Cruise USS Guadicanal LPH-7. USS Francis Marion "Swamp Fox" APA-248 or246. Gitmo Bay Cuba, Dominican Republic, Volunteered for Vietnam 1966, Vietnam 1966 and 1967, BLT 3/9, 3rd Mar. Div. 0341 Mortarman, 81's Forward Observer. Received a Silver Star and first of three Purple Hearts 9-5-66, PH's, July 4th 1967 second and third on July 27, 1967. Return states side stationed at Quantico VA, Guard Service Battalion. First discharge was March 1968, rentered active duty Feb. 1969 to Aug.1975
