Fire Protection Crew Chief
Firefighter Crew Chief for almost 8 years in the ANG 117th ARW in Birmingham, AL. Deployed several times, longest, that earned my Combat Veteran Status was to the UAE for 6 months following 9-11 in support of OEF. There from spring to fall of 2002. I was Honorably Discharged at the beginning of 2004 after being put on stop loss while deployed to the UAE. I'm a civilian Fire Chief and Paramedic and held a position in the Fire Sevice with multiple departments in the greater Birmingham area since my discharge. Got married 2 weeks prior to long deployment, so when I got home, I went ahead and got out to start a family. Considering I was also working 48hrs on and 24hrs off at two local fire departments as well, it was just too much on a young marriage. Been married 18 years and have 4 kids!
