Student
My class included 25 E-2's and 8 E-6, 5 & 4's who were cross training. Fourteen of the E-2's were promoted to E-3 before graduation. Upon graduation, 25 JUL 67, all class members were awarded Counterintelligence Special Agent, MOS 97B40. My next duty station was in Washington, DC. Ft. Holabird was in Baltimore only 38 miles from DC. I was given $2.28 travel pay. I used it wisely since I had leave. I drove to my home in Illinois. From there I picked up my fellow 97B40 in Indianapolis. We proceeded to the 902nd MI Grp at Ft McNair. The 902nd offices were in temporary buildings outside the fort's wall. While reporting and signing in, My car was broken into. Several important things were stolen. There was so much stuffed in the car the thieves could not take it all. Welcome to DC.
Jan 1967 - Apr 1967
