As Main Machinery Room NR1 Leading Petty Officer, I led 8 junior personnel in the replacement of fuel oil filters, trend analysis on 4 Diesel Engine Generators and 4 Main Propulsion Diesel Engines, replacement of mechanical seals on fire pumps, jacket water pumps, and sea water pumps, including the impeller. As EDO I stood out as a solid performer on par with the chiefs in the other duty sections. I have a superb work ethic and is the standard bearer for steadfast dedication and maintain the highest degree of engineering readiness and main space safe to operate at all times.

I spearheaded the replacement of 26 outboard engines, upkeep and maintenance of 17 Aluminum Chambered Boats, including the complete overhaul of the entire fuel and lube oil systems, thus improving the life expectancy of craft by 10 years. As Petty Officer in Charge, completed over 500 mishap-free underway hours in support of SWCC an SEAL qualification training programs. As WCS, I led the repairs to the ship’s RAST System replacing the damaged R/A cable to maintain ship’s flight deck availability and crossed divisional lines to assist electricians in troubleshooting and repairing the tail guide winch control. I performed corrective and preventative maintenance on five York 200 ton Air Conditioning Plants, two York Refrigeration Plants, various galley equipment, Reverse Osmosis Plants, Hydraulic Steering Gear System, two small boats and all the support equipment which kept the engineering plant at peak operational readiness.
