Medical Laboratory echnician
Worked in main laboratory at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma Washington. Last duty station was at the Umatilla Army Depot near Hermiston, Oregon as lab person there. Was still under Madigan command, just remote station. Monitored the civilians who worked with the nerve gas stored there.

Worked in main lab, stat lab down by the ER and OP clinics. Finally got on evenings then weekends so became lab generalist. Spent last 8 months of tour at Umatilla Army Depot where small clinic monitored civilian employees handling nerve gas storage.

Recruit
Entire training company from Ft. McClellan transferred to Ft. Jackson at end of first week of basic to fill a full company to take men's weapon's training to get statistics preparing for coed basic later that year. Many, many hours on the range. Many missed meals due to needing to complete record fires, but most of us made it through.
