Bio 

"Ron is from Seminole, Florida. He is married. His schools include Seminole High School (Pinellas County). He later attended St. Petersburg Junior College (Business Administration). Ron retired from Piedmont Fastener in Troutman, NC due to health issues in 2017. Piedmont Fastener is a major supplier of nuts, bolts and screws, especially stainless steel for the many of the Nascar Teams. Ron worked with Dale Earnhardt Sr's grandson, Bobby Dale Earnhardt. He retired from General Electric in 1989 and PPG Industries in 2006 Ron is a U.S. Army Viet-Nam veteran. He served with The 1st Logistical Command, They provided support for the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Activated in Saigon in April 1965, the Command became the largest Army organization in Vietnam growing to over 50,000 personnel. From 1965 to 1970, over 700,000 tons of supplies entered Vietnam each month, handled and distributed by a wide variety of 1st Log organizations such as truck units, boat companies, supply and transportation companies, and supply depots. The Command was responsible for railroad facilities, port operations, fuel distribution, repair parts, equipment maintenance, graves registration activities, airlift and aerial resupply operations, all supply distribution, and food and clothing services. Five hundred ninety one 1st Log Soldiers were killed in action while another 1,500 were wounded. Two were awarded the Medal of Honor. The 1st Logistical Command's commitment to making sure that the American soldier fighting in Vietnam was the best supplied, fed, and clothed Soldier in the world. Ron had open heart surgery in June of 2014 that was contributed from Agent Orange. Ron had more heart surgery on April 28, 2017. Ron has also had surgery on both legs from severed tendons. Ron had emergency hernia surgery on December 18, 2018. Ron had his right knee replaced in 2019. When Ron returned from Viet-Nam he started restoring Classic Cars and still does in his spare time. Currently Ron is restoring a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 that his wife received on her 16th birthday. Ron just sold a 1948 Chevrolet Suburban and a 1941 Plymouth sedan. Ron is every day driver is a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado Pick-Up. Ron just bought a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. It has been lowered, PS, PB, AC, Tilt, Cruise, Tinted Glass, Power everything. A really nice truck. Ron loves to spend time with his grandchildren, especially his 8 year old twin granddaughters. They are so very special to him. Ron gave his 15 year old Grandson, Dominic, a 1993 Ford Mustang (Fox Body) Convertible for Christmas. Ron's interests include Richard Childress Racing, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.. Music, his likes includes ZZ Top, The Beach Boys. Movies he likes include Fast and Furious, and the Left Behind Series. TV shows he likes include Fast N' Loud, Monster Garage, Counting Cars, Overhaulin, Barrett Jackson Auctionsl. Ron finally received his VA Disability on August 8, 2019 after a 5 year wait.
