E-5 in a E-6 slot. All the other Platoon SGT were E-6 Responsible for training and supervising my Platoon in Field Baking skills. Lived in the Barrack in three story Bld I was the highest ranking E-5 in the unit w/time in grade.

Shift supervisor and head clerk at Long Binh Post Bakery. At the time the largest bakery in the US Army. Baking bread for the III and IV Core. Also at one time TDY to 2nd Maintenance Btn in Vung Tau for 60 days. At Long Binh we had about 120 GI's and 20 local nationals working two 12 hour shifts. We pulled guard duty with the rest of the Company
