I joined the US Army as a high school dropout at 17. Unfortunately, I was more like a 15 year old. Very immature and didn't like being told what to do. I did not do well. Got a General (under honorable conditions) Discharge after 2 and a half years. As an E-1. I was an alcoholic and drug addict with major depression. They sent me directly to the Boston VA hospital. Thank God.
