As a senior NCO, I was tasked with helping build up the Weapons Co. of 3/9. I helped set an example for incoming NCOs that would take the lead of the reformed unit as they prepared for deployment and assisted in training junior Marines as they came to the unit from SOI.

As a company instructor, I directly oversaw the training of new Marines coming from boot camp, and lat-moves, in basic infantry skills and machinegun gunnery.
As a training company instructor, I was a platform instructor that taught these infantry noobs in basic machinegun gunnery.

Aside from being one of the best gunners in the battalion (fact), I provided direct support in the platoon and company level operations and indirect support to battalion level operations. And we were damn good at it too.
