Bio

My Great Great Grandfather was a Confederate General who fought and was wounded in the Mexican American War. He also fought in the Civil War and was shot and killed at the battle of Pea Ridge which is also known as the Battle of Elkhorn Tavern on March 7 or 8, 1862. My brother enlisted in the Navy and saw action in Vietnam between 1963 and 1966. I enlisted in the Marine Corps in March 1967 and after Comm School went to Vietnam where I was attached to the 1st Recon Bn Unit in Danang in October 1967. We promptly transferred to Phu Bai just outside of Hue City in the middle of December to replace the 3rd Recon unit who went to Khe Sanh. I completed approximately 40 patrols before I was wounded. After my four-year enlistment ended, I re-enlisted in the Active Reserves. I spent the next 39 years in in various police agencies and am now retired, living in Southern Utah with my wife. We love to hike, four-wheel drive, and travel. I have a bachelor's degree in criminology, and a master's degree in forensic psychology. I retired from Law Enforcement with an accumulated 33 years during a 39-year period and retired as a sergeant from Nevada DPS.
