Trying to live the good life now that I m retired but having a hard time watching this country change from what it used to be. Thought I would check in and see what some of the younger Vets were saying about current events.
Military Experiences
Platoon Sergeant
This was the highlight of my service. I had the honor of being the Platoon Sergeant in a loach platoon (Outcasts) for a few months in 1971, before I was medivac'ed home early from my tour in Vietnam. Those guys were true hero's !

Vietnam War
I flew in a LOH 6A which I believe you call Little Birds now. I flew daily missions as a doorgunner and crew chief in the delta until my aircraft was shoot down and I was medivac'ed back to the states early. I only served 7 months of a 12 month tour a far cry from the multiple tours asked of you guys now.
