USS Enterprise Feb. 1963 on a 6 month Med cruise. Cruise was extended to an 8 month cruise. after leaving the mediterainan we set sail For a 2 month around the world cruise. As the first nuclear task force along with the Bainbridge ( a nuclear power frig
another 6 month Med cruise and in August 1966 we returned to Norfolk. There were two other deployments. A carrier qualification cruise that lasted three months on the USS Enterprise for pilot landing practice. And a shakedown cruise for the USS America we deployed to Guantanamo, Cuba. for the seaworthiness of a new ship.
