My first hitch was in 1962-1965 17 years old when I signed up, my Dad had to sign that it was OK. Ended up at a microwave station in Normandy area in France. Ets December 1965. Re-upped in 1977 and was stationed in the Old Guard S-4, when I got my E-5 stripes they transferred me to Alexandria VA to the Depot and then I re-upped and a year later became a Staff Sgt. Got orders to 1-1 Cav in Schwabach .
