Site consisted of Barracks, Mess Hall, Office Complex, Arms Room, Day Room, and 5 buildings containing Classroom facilities. Armorer/Supply Sgt, Four Cooks and a Mess Sergeant along with 8 NCO Instructors were under my command. Reported directly to Deputy Commander/25th Infantry Division.

Additional Internal Short Term Special Operations assignment with US Embassy Security Service in Vientiane, Laos.

Major Operations: Cedar Falls, Gadsden, Lancaster, Junction City, Benton, & Attleboro (Attleboro turned into a major action). 196th formed part of Task Force Oregon and moved to Chu Lai. TF Oregon was redesignated the 23rd Infantry Division (Americal) in Sep 67.
