I enlisted in the Army in Apr. 1972 and discharged in Apr.1975. I returned in Feb. 1976 and retired in June 1994. my Basic training was Ft. Dix, N. Jersey, My A.I.T. was in Ft. Sam Houston Texas, First Perm. party was 93rd Evac. Hosp. in Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., discharged in Apr. 1975. Returned to active duty in Feb. 1976. Stationed at Presidio of San Francisco. {Best assignment ever.) Left there for Alaska, Ft. Lee, Va. Germany, Ft. Carson,Co. Then retired

Platoon Sergeant
Platoon consisted of 4 MOS's Pharmacy Tech's, Ortho tech's, Xray techs, and Operating Rm. tech's. Responsible for training and maintaining Field medical combat Support Hospital. My extra curricular activity was coaching the Company basketball team. We were competitive all 4 years and won a Post Championship. Had one player who went on to play at Georgetown University under the Legendary Coach John Thompson (RIP) That player was Ronnie Highsmith.
