Baghdad around the time "the Surge" of Coalition forces were mobilizing and deploying--cordoned off a section of Eastern Baghdad secured with TCPs and then breech/enter and clear buildings in search of suspected, known and violent terrorist groups, also--we did convoy security primarily...because nothing amounts to that form of a slap in the face when we do an MPs job and the MP SOP when reacting to contact is to break contact and call the infantry. It was fun, though. There was a reason why they called us Maine mountain goats to Baghdad--they didn't know what to think of our non complacence and attention-to-detail earned myself and other soldiers an ARCOMM. The leadership got their bronze star for keeping the desks clean and paperwork filled out. We were part of a larger task force.
