Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist is the closest I could come to what I actually did in the Coast Guard. Between 1975 and 1979 I was stationed at Base Galveston and worked in the Marine Safety Office. My father and my nephew were career Coast Guard. A brother and uncle also served in the Coast Guard. I did basic at Cape May, New Jersey and attended small boat safety in Virginia.
