Consulted with government contractors and military personnel to resolve trouble/failure reports relating to military documentation and hardware. Reviewed, corrected, and endorsed contractor generated document change packages to military technical procedures. Advised contractors on what subjects to add to their training, based on known problems reported by the military. Reviewed proposed contractor training against DOD and U.S. Navy standards. Improved the level and clarity of information pertaining to personnel safety equipment and hazardous material within military procedural documentation.

Managed the training division to ensure compliance with ordnance certification, technical proficiency, and training requirements. Overcame funding shortages and contractor training support deficiencies to ensure the successful graduation of students. Managed a missile conversion team that was responsible for converting submarine tactical missiles into test missiles to provide missile accuracy data as part of our nation’s nuclear deterrence program. Identified and corrected issues quickly ensuring uninterrupted in-tube conversions and successful launch of seven TRIDENT II/D5 Test missiles.

Supervised the Missile Technician division. Developed and tracked maintenance schedules, supervised repairs, trained junior personnel, and oversaw critical, highly sensitive missile computer data entry. Authored, administered, and monitored re-targeting training exercises during the preparation for readiness inspections, which greatly enhanced the team’s targeting abilities and achievement of superior evaluations.
