Firefighter ( fireman)
Firefighter at Butts Army Airfield at Fort Carson. We used the foam to extinguish fuel and electrical and aircraft fires. It causes cancer and I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer of the larynx and my voice box was removed in 2001. I was discharged after 6 years. October 1968 to May 1975 .
Now the new PACT ACT from January 2023 says we can qualify for VA BENEFITS now so I'm going to get a VSO and check it out.
Anyone else out there that is like me? Firefighter that can't speak due to cancer?
