Cryptologic Technician (CT)
In May 1967 I was initially assigned to the U.S. Army Taiwan at Grass Mountain as a Cryptologic Technician. In early 1968 through August 1971, I was attached to Taiwan Defense Command, a Navy Command, and assisted Philco Ford with the installation of a secure voice system supporting twelve (12) subscribers throughout Taipei. After installtion I remained attached to Taiwan Defense Command to repair and maintain all subscriber equipment to include the U.S. Embassy. In addition, I was the cryptologic technician for a portable communications center established to support the Pueblo incident.
