I was part of the 1st group of woman to serve in the army instead of the women's army core. We received a lot of push back from mostly brass who did everything in their power to prove women didn't belong in the army. Most of my service was in the field and many times I was the only woman sent out with the small units . I was safest there .on base, I was asulted ,attacked or raped and the col. on fort Dix Would tell the doctors to say alleged, and not examine or treat me. He Told the doctors and mp's to destroy all evidence. But, my mp friends brought me the paperwork instead and told me to hide it and hang onto it . They said I would need it someday. They also told me to take a picture of my face for documentation . ( my profile picture is that picture I took in my barracks)
