The 474th Tactical Fighter Wing (474 TFW) was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base from 1968 to 1977. During this period, they were equipped with the F-111A aircraft and played a significant role in training combat-ready aircrews. I belonged to this squadron from 1975 to 1977, at which time I changed AFSC and duty station to 1 Com SAC Offut AFB NE.
